Description

Our client is a leading designer, manufacturer, and installer of façade and glazing solutions for a wide range of commercial and public sector projects. They pride themselves on delivering high-performance products with technical excellence and outstanding customer service. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic commercial team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years’ estimating experience within glazing or cladding
  • Solid understanding of curtain walling, aluminium windows, and systems such as Schueco, Aluprof, and Kawneer
  • Strong knowledge of contractual and compliance requirements in tender assessments
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and estimating software (Logikal / Schucal)
  • Experience with project management tools such as Deltek is an advantage
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the tendering process, producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects ranging from £3m-£10m. This is a hands-on position requiring technical expertise, commercial awareness, and a proactive approach to both client interaction and internal coordination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare detailed take-offs from architectural and technical drawings
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive quotations
  • Upload and manage enquiries within the project management system (Deltek)
  • Use estimation software such as Logikal or Schucal to prepare accurate costings
  • Ensure all tender documentation complies with contractual and project requirements
  • Produce and submit high-quality estimation documents using MS Office
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Keep CRM and project systems up to date with accurate pipeline and project data
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and events as needed
  • Research and identify new opportunities to support business growth
  • Follow up leads and allocated enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Consistently meet allocated KPIs and project deadlines
  • Stay up to date with product specifications, pricing structures, and industry developments
  • Ensure document control processes are followed accurately
  • Act as an ambassador for our client, upholding professional standards and customer service excellence
  • Assist with wider business initiatives as requested by your Line Manager
