We are actively seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to join our team full-time at our Houston office. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing construction cost estimates for lump sum General Contract and Design/Build delivery methods civil infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and manage comprehensive and competitive project proposals and bids, ensuring accuracy and completeness * Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project objectives, timelines, and constraints * Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms * Provide support during the pre-construction and post-construction phases as needed * Maintain close communication with clients to ensure a high level of satisfaction throughout the project * Create budgets, turnover packages, and oversee all pre-construction activities * Perform other tasks as assigned to support project and team success Ideal Candidate Profile * 2+ years of experience using HCSS (Heavy Bid), Procore, BlueBeam, and Agtek is required * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.) is essential * 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction * Background in heavy site work, utilities, pipelines, infrastructure, and heavy construction is preferred * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Strong organizational skills with effective time-management abilities * A construction-related college degree is a plus but not required * Limited travel required, primarily for meetings, pre-bids, etc., with minimal overnight travel What We Offer * Opportunity to play a crucial role in protecting our most valuable asset—our people * Collaborative environment with industry-leading professionals * A culture that values character, purpose, and innovation * Competitive compensation and benefits package * Professional development and advancement opportunities * A place on a team that's shaping the future of construction Our Core Values We show GRIT in our unwavering determination to get the job done with GRATITUDE driving us.
