The Opportunity Dynamic Construction Group is seeking a Construction Estimator to take ownership of the estimating function and play a key role in supporting continued growth. Key Responsibilities • Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects • Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed pricing analysis • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing • Identify risks, gaps, and value-engineering opportunities • Manage bid schedules, timelines, and submissions • Support project handoff to operations and project teams • Assist in developing and improving estimating processes and systems What Success Looks Like • Accurate estimates aligned with actual project costs • Consistent bid performance and win rate • Timely completion of estimates and submissions • Contribution to overall project profitability Why Join Dynamic Construction Group • Opportunity to lead and shape the estimating function • Direct access to company leadership and decision-making • Collaborative, team-oriented culture • Growth-stage company with increasing project volume • Ability to influence systems, processes, and future hiring Compensation and Benefits • Base salary range: $70,000 – $80,000, depending on experience • Performance-based incentives (structure to be finalized) • Flexible PTO approach • Company vehicle may be provided based on role requirements • Open to evolving benefits package as the company grows Work Environment • Based in the Kansas City, Missouri (Independence area) • Projects primarily within the local market • In-office collaboration with a small, agile team Ideal Candidate Profile • Self-starter who can operate independently • Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving business • Strong organizational and time management skills • Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset • Committed to accountability, quality, and continuous improvement Requirements Required Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years of construction estimating experience • Experience with commercial construction projects • Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specifications • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously • Proficiency in Excel and/or estimating software • Strong attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Qualifications • Experience with design-build projects • Familiarity with project management tools such as Procore • Background in tenant finishes, renovations, or commercial interiors • Trade experience (general construction, electrical, etc.) • Experience with ground-up commercial construction, including office, retail, and warehouse projects

Responsibilities

The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, and managing bid schedules for commercial construction projects. They will also solicit subcontractor pricing and support the handoff of projects to the operations team.
