JOB OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Estimator Coordinator to support our estimating team, with a focus on interior renovation projects. This office-based role involves coordinating estimating activities, managing documentation, assisting with cost analysis, and ensuring smooth communication between the estimating team and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of interior renovation processes, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting the team in achieving accurate project estimates.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in an estimating or coordination role within the construction industry, with a focus on interior renovation projects.
  • Strong understanding of interior renovation processes, including design, materials, and labor required for various types of renovation work.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to read and interpret renovation plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, trends, and regulations related to interior renovations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with cost estimating and coordination for interior renovation projects.
  • Familiarity with construction codes, permits, and industry best practices specific to renovation projects.

Responsibilities
  • Estimating Support: Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for interior renovation projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other associated costs.
  • Coordination of Estimates: Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and the estimating team to ensure that all aspects of the renovation project are accurately estimated.
  • Documentation and Records: Organize and maintain all estimating-related documents, including scope of work, bid proposals, contracts, and change orders. Ensure accurate and timely updates.
  • Cost Analysis: Help analyze historical project data and market conditions to ensure estimates reflect current pricing trends, especially in materials and labor costs specific to interior renovation.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Communication: Assist with obtaining quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials, services, and labor, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
  • Project Tracking: Help track estimates through the approval process, ensuring all estimates are reviewed, updated, and approved in a timely manner.
  • Interior Renovation Knowledge: Leverage your understanding of interior renovation processes, materials, and typical costs to ensure accurate and realistic estimates for each project.
