JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an M&E Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring that all financial aspects of projects are accurately accounted for. This role is crucial in helping our organisation maintain cost control while delivering high-quality results.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficient in using estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• A relevant degree or qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is advantageous but not essential. • Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required materials.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analysing labour, materials, and overhead costs.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.
• Monitor project budgets and provide ongoing cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present estimates to clients, ensuring clarity and transparency in all communications.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates, revisions, and correspondence related to each project.
