POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals, ensuring the successful bidding and execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment needed for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather necessary data for estimates.
  • Analyze historical data and industry benchmarks to inform pricing strategies.
  • Prepare and submit proposals to clients, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates, proposals, and correspondence related to bidding processes.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather additional information for estimates.
  • Evaluate and negotiate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Experience with Holt Construction is preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel and other relevant software for creating estimates and reports.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
