ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our estimator’s role is primarily focused on sales of new Contract Glazing work for Commercial construction projects. This will include material take-offs, cost estimates, planning, and documentation of sales opportunities as well as assisting the Project Managers with job handoff documentation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Prepare accurate material take-offs and labor estimates assigned by Sales Director.
• Organize specifications per Job Scope for Estimate.
• Prepare Substitution Requests for Value Engineering purposes.
• Prepare project cost estimate and bid for new Commercial Construction Projects.
• Visit Site as needed for Estimating.
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Prepare for hand off meeting held with Project Team to discuss Scope of Work for assigned Project.
• Be available as a resource for material, supplies, and equipment needed to perform work.
• Estimator will enter all job information and documentation in TrueConstruct software for future access.
• Collaborate with Sales Director on all quotes or bids for best market positioning.
• Estimator is to attend and represent company at different showcases that his manager requires him to attend.
• Update Sales Director on status of bids in process or sent.
