WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) construction
  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Leadership and organizational skills. Must be detailed oriented and work well with a team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, construction standards, safety regulations, and municipal standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Experience with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP job costing and AutoCAD software.
  • Self-starter with a positive work ethic & able to see a task through to its conclusion.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Must be able to manage confidential material and information with discretion.
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle.
Responsibilities
  • Lead in the preparation of detailed and accurate budgets and cost estimates for ICI projects. Project methodology to include design build, fixed price and construction management.
  • Review drawings, specifications and contract documents to comprehend opportunity and analyze risks.
  • Develop scope of work outlines. Solicit and evaluate bids and quotes from subtrades and suppliers.
  • Lead the project tendering process. Complete quantity take-offs for all labour, material, equipment, and sub-trade requirements.
  • Work closely with the sales team on design-build proposals. Provide input on optimal materials and methods.
  • Negotiate and prepare purchase orders and subtrade contract documents.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and trades to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Participate in project analysis throughout all stages: planning, budgeting, procurement, and close-out
  • Participate in project scheduling alongside Project Managers, utilizing Microsoft Project.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits and inspections to ensure full understanding of project opportunities.
  • Maintain historical costing data and subtrades and supplier databases in order to maintain pricing accuracy.
  • Monitor project posting sites for new opportunities and bring them to the General Manager for review and consideration.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and internal safety policies
  • Participate in project debriefs and lessons learned reviews for continuous improvement
