Estimator – UGL Altrad Services Joint Venture (UAJV) Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension Project (KLE) Perth-based | Permanent Role Join the UGL Altrad Services Joint Venture and play a key role in delivering one of Western Australia’s most significant brownfield programs - the Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension (KLE) mission. This is your opportunity to contribute to sustaining one of Australia’s most critical energy assets while working in a collaborative, high‑performance team. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Estimator (electrical) to manage and coordinate high‑quality electrical estimates and proposals that support the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of KLE work packages. In this role, you will ensure that all estimates meet project, contractual, and commercial requirements while supporting yearly business targets and long‑term strategic outcomes. This position is based in Perth, with regular interaction across multidisciplinary teams both in Perth and on-site. Key Responsibilities Estimating & Proposal Management Develop accurate estimates using contract norms in CTR format with complete supporting documentation. Create new norms, rates, and pricing mechanisms where required. Ensure alignment between estimates and project schedules in collaboration with project leads and planners. Assign appropriate WBS coding to all estimate line items. Maintain and publish the estimate status register. Plan, coordinate, and deliver proposal activities within tight deadlines. Ensure proposals meet corporate governance, compliance, and quality standards. Coordinate and lead pre‑tender and pre‑submission meetings. Conduct risk assessments and apply commercial reasoning to all tender outputs. About You You will bring: HNC in Engineering, Commercial, or Project Management (or equivalent). Electrical & control system background (preferred) Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar estimating role. Broad understanding of project development stages and industry requirements. Strong commercial awareness and proven negotiation skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders. Advanced MS Office skills and strong data accuracy. High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience working within a multicultural workforce (preferred).
