JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating for spray foam insulation and fireproofing. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and assisting in the negotiation process to ensure competitive pricing for our projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
• Proficiency in estimating software is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate price calculations.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
• Project management experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Review project plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
• Utilize software tools to prepare detailed take-offs and pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Conduct market research to assess material costs and labor rates, ensuring competitive pricing.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that outline project scope, costs, and timelines.
• Maintain organized documentation of all estimates, bids, and correspondence related to the estimating process.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather additional information for accurate estimating.
• Work with labourers to ensure they complete the job according to the scope detailed in approved estimates
