Job Details Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Job Shift: Day he Estimator will support the Partnership Executives and Branch Manager by preparing accurate and timely estimates for landscape maintenance. Working closely with Partnership Executives, Branch Management, and the Executive Director of Business Development, the Estimator plays a critical role in capturing costs related to labor hours and material costs and ensuring the financial success of our projects. This is a collaborative position that involves both office work and frequent field assessments. The Estimator will gain valuable exposure to clients’ expectations and operational processes, while receiving guidance and support from experienced team members. Supervisory Responsibilities: • The Estimator does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Duties/Responsibilities: • Partner primarily with Partnership Executives to prepare estimates for new and existing clients across maintenance services • Conduct site walks and perform detailed takeoffs independently or alongside Partnership Executives to better understand project scope, clients’ expectations, and requirements • Participate in proposal preparation, particularly ensuring services and labor hours are accurate and can be explained to the client • Input measurements and service level details into Aspire to accurately capture labor hours and materials costs • Track project budgets, labor hours, and material costs to support post-job analysis • Maintain organized digital records of estimates and site data for future reference and compliance • Attend site visits independently or with Partnership Executives to better understand project scope, clients’ expectations, and requirements • Maintain attention to detail while managing multiple projects and shifting priorities • Ensure timely and effective follow-up with internal teams and clients to support project success • Review historical job performance data to improve the accuracy of future estimates • Support continuous improvement by identifying cost-saving opportunities and process efficiencies • Travel within the assigned market approximately 40-70% of the time, depending on season, and potentially to other markets depending on business needs Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: • Basic understanding of landscape materials, equipment, terminology, and basic landscape services. • Ability to identify and explain plant health, irrigation systems, and enhancement opportunities to clients and team members • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines • Proficiency in retrieving and analyzing historical estimates for comparison and continuous improvement • Investigative mindset, comfortable working independently in diverse site conditions, including evenings or weekends when necessary • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy • Advanced with math and calculations • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning new cloud-based software; experience with Aspire, HubSpot, Google Earth, SiteRecon, or Property Intel is a plus • Valid driver’s license with an approved driving record Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, Business, or related field preferred but not required • 5+ years of experience in landscape, construction, or related estimating work, especially across multiple service lines such as PHC, irrigation, enhancements, mowing/maintenance • Experience may be considered in lieu of education
