ABOUT YOU

They’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in construction estimation
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and estimation software
  • Knowledge of current building technology, processes, and materials
  • Familiarity with JCT, NEC, and ICE contracts
  • Ability to review contracts and negotiate amendments
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator to take ownership of preparing detailed estimates for a wide variety of projects, ensuring accuracy across financial, technical, and scheduling requirements. You’ll play a key role in supporting the business through effective pricing, risk management, and collaboration with project teams and clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare accurate estimates across diverse scopes of work, meeting deadlines and KPIs
  • Review quotations from suppliers/subcontractors to ensure competitiveness and compliance
  • Produce detailed Bills of Quantities and basis of estimate documents
  • Manage and maintain Project Risk & Opportunity Registers
  • Liaise closely with project teams and report to the Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Prepare and present tender proposals to senior leadership
  • Conduct site visits with clients during tender stages
  • Identify value engineering opportunities for competitive bids
  • Support the commercial team with variations and project handovers
