Responsibilities Review project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates. Conduct site visits to evaluate project scope and gather necessary information for accurate estimation. Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all estimates align with the company's high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices to provide comprehensive estimates. Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding estimates and project details. Analyze historical data to improve future project estimates and identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure timely submission of estimates and follow up with clients regarding any questions or revisions. Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, preferably in roofing or general contracting. Strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills to evaluate project costs and risks. Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions. Attention to detail and commitment to producing thorough and accurate estimates.
