THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing Construction team, based in our North Sydney head offices.

You will be responsible for the tendering & cost planning of internal & external projects across multiple states and market sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring all cost deliverables relating to your projects are complete, accurate and submitted in accordance with the tender conditions. This will include:

• Assuming a lead estimating role within bid teams to secure external tenders across multiple market sectors
• Working closely with the Construction teams to cost plan a diverse range of internal & external projects from concept to tender phase
• Engaging and managing relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
• Managing external quantity surveyors and & other external bid support personnel to facilitate bid deliverables
• Contributing to work win BD efforts and securing new work opportunities
• Supporting live projects with cost planning services as required
• Driving value management outcomes across projects
• Supporting innovation initiatives within the business

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of previous demonstrable experience and success in both cost planning & tendering construction projects across multiple market sectors
• Experience and a sound understanding of typical Australian construction delivery & construction models & contracts
• Diploma / Degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying or related field
