Responsibilities
  • Preparing preliminary budget pricing by obtaining: design drawings and sketches, obtaining and developing Schedule “A”, giving each sub-contractor a list of specifications and drawings.
  • Cover letter specifying type of product being priced; size, location and timing of project and when pricing is required back.
  • Developing spreadsheet to list model types, elevations and plans, trades and codes, totals for all model costs, contingency total and a final line for the sum of both.
  • Preparing Budget Pricing (hard and soft) for use to determine sale price of models
  • Assists in providing take-offs for project cost estimates
  • Preparing Contract Pricing with approved complete set of approved working drawings, a complete set of brochures, final Schedule “A”; reviewing and comparing above items for accuracy.
  • Preparing scope of work for each trade, which outlines every responsibility and the builder’s standard construction procedures for safety, building code and warning clauses.
  • Preparing a Quotation Analysis spreadsheet outlining specifics. Attaching cover letter for tendering package (same as budget procedure).
  • Completed tendering package which includes cover letter, scope of work, quotation of analysis spreadsheet and complete set of working drawings.
  • Preparing a sub-contractor bidder list and assign number to each bidder. Comparing budget amounts to actual amounts from quotation. Setting-up meetings with each trade.
  • Contract must be signed when the final sub-contractor chosen.
  • All parties must sign all copies and pages.
  • Monitoring budgets in regards to expiry dates and informing accounting, Department head when costs are good until and adjusting costs in order to complete site in budget.
  • Coding of all P.O.’S as required for site and décor center.
  • Assisting of providing catalogue upgrade costs for use by décor center.
  • Assists décor center with plan revisions and costing estimates.
  • Other duties as assigned.
