As the Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our organisation by preparing accurate cost estimates for infrastructure and marine construction projects, analysing data, contributing to the overall success of our bidding process, and coaching junior staffs. Develop comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects of varying sizes and complexities Analyse blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates Expert in CCS Candy Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues Prepare and maintain a database of previous bids and current cost information Conduct quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost breakdowns Identify potential risks and opportunities within project estimates Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure estimate accuracy and completeness Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new estimating techniques Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction marine estimating works Proficiency in estimating software such as CCS Candy, or similar tools Marine related work experience is mandatory Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience in cost analysis and budget preparation Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE Familiarity with MENA region construction practices and market trends Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification preferred would be advantage Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus Business Line: Consulting and Operations Type of contract: Permanent contract Service Line: OnM Operations Region: Middle East and South Asia Job Family: Tender Management Profession: Tender Manager II
