    Responsibilities

    THE ROLE

    GHS Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an Estimator (Metal Fabrication) to work within our Engineering division on a permanent basis, supporting our metal fabrication, machining, blast and paint and poly welding business units.
    The Estimator plays an important part as a leader providing technical skills within our business, tasked with the responsibility of quoting works and tendering projects.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Initiate, scope, estimate works and larger projects within the desired response time
    • Utilise GHS Solutions systems of work, to track opportunities through to estimates and sales orders
    • Initiate and coordinate procurement, with suppliers and sub-contractors
    • Handover works won to relevant team members within the participating business unit
    • Engage with clients and all stakeholders via clear, consistent communication, upholding GHS values
    • Create concept design drawings as required

    THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT AN INDIVIDUAL WITH:

    • Proven track record in a similar role
    • Minimum of 2 years post trade experience in workshop, site engineering or other works relevant to our target market (5 years preferable)
    • Exceptional problem solving and analytical abilities as well as a sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and codes
