THE COMPANY

• This company operates for both public and private clients as Main Contractor in the civil engineering and building sectors. The work comprises roadworks/ active travel/ urban spaces, airport infrastructure, port infrastructure, power generation/ distribution, renewables, fuel facilities, educational facilities, various utilities, building works, prisons and rail. They cover projects across Leinster & Dublin.

THE REQUIREMENTS

· A qualified civil engineer or quantity surveyor with civils/ roadworks experience.

This client requires an estimator to join their team. You must have;
· An understanding of civil engineering work methodologies and ability to build up prices from first principles.
· Must display commercial nous.
· Knowledge of various standard contract forms – eg. NEC, Public Works, FIDIC – as well as different methods of measurement – eg. TII, CESMM, ARM.
· Commitment to reviewing all scope and design documents carefully and thoroughly in preparation of tenders – both commercial and technical elements of submissions.
· Previous experience in using estimating database software is preferable. Company uses Candy Estimating and all necessary training will be provided.
