The Role Wood is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Estimator to join our dynamic team based in proximity to our New Mexico, West Texas, or Colorado/Wyoming operations. The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the development of project estimates and ensuring they are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies, procedures, and standards. Prepare, review, and submit detailed project cost estimates to support budgeting and profitability. Review client RFPs, work requirements, and technical specifications. Identify potential risks, develop contingency plans, and suggest solutions to minimize costs and delays. Analyze and define all cost elements, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Support development of proposals, including clarifications, exceptions, and assumptions. Collaborate with project teams to address challenges and ensure estimates are accurate and auditable. Maintain estimating systems, data, and documentation in compliance with company standards. Facilitate communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment. Support negotiations and dispute resolution related to project costs and scope. Participate in continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.
