JOB OPPORTUNITY: PORTAL CONTRACTORS – ESTIMATING IN EARTHWORKS & CIVIL CONSTRUCTION

We’re seeking an experienced contruction estimator to join Portal Contractors, with a focus on earthworks and civil projects across Victoria. If you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of interpreting plans and scopes with precision, this is your chance to contribute to high-impact projects with a skilled team.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing tender submissions and accurate cost breakdowns
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and scope documents for quantities and pricing
  • Contribute to cost planning, value engineering, and risk assessments
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for rates and availability
  • Maintain and manage project portals, including document uploads, RFIs, and submissions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in civil construction or earthworks estimating
  • Strong understanding of tender portals (e.g. EstimateOne, BidContender, Aconex)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and scopes
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
