Description:

Bond Paving & Construction is a Toronto-based company that’s searching for an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our team.

QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the construction industry in general landscaping, asphalt paving, concrete, (preferably within municipal projects),
  • University Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related program,
  • Solid knowledge of construction drawings, technical specifications and contracts,
  • Project estimating and management experience is a MUST,
  • Excellent ability to work and multi-task under pressure,
  • Proficiency in communication, both verbal and written,
  • Adept attention to detail.

EXPERIENCE:

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Position.
Starting salary: $120,000.00 per year.
Schedule: A standard work week is an 8-hour shift, 5 days a week, 40 hours per week.

Work Location: In person at the office with some time spent on construction sites to perform on-site scheduling and meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Estimator in the determination of deemed work,
  • Identify new market bid opportunities, evaluate and qualify the prospects,
  • Manage the estimating process, quantify take off, cost analysis and tender preparation,
  • Pre-qualify subcontractor’s and supplier’s pricing, develop the data base,
  • Liaise with general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers,
  • Provide technical support to clients, project managers and site supervisors,
  • Coordinate and oversee the work schedule, progress, performance and the completion of projects with the team.
