All of Ram’s plumbing, heating, and gas fitting work is done in accordance with manufacturer specifications and meet or exceed local, provincial and national building codes. Our plumbers are Alberta-certified journey persons, and our apprentices are registered. All of our plumbing and heating technicians are experts in troubleshooting, best practices, and maintenance.
Ram Mechanical is seeking an Estimator/Project Coordinator for service jobs and projects in the Edmonton region. The role will be responsible for preparing and organizing different documents and estimating in a timely manner, plus procurement of materials/equipment. The ideal candidate will communicate project requirements and scope to Foreman/Field Technicians and develop positive relationships with different stakeholders in a project.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Plumbing and estimation experience is required.
  • Bachelor/associate degree in a Construction Management, Engineering, Business or Finance related field is an asset; equivalent work experience will be considered.3+ years’ work experience in a similar role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Well-versed with estimating.
  • Knowledgeable in plumbing, gas codes and building codes is required.
  • Familiar in the project management processes and documentations.
  • Advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite.)
  • Experience working in a very fast-paced, self-directed, and dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrated positive relationships with internal/external customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Positive attitude and a desire for continuous improvement for self and the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, reliability, and willingness to take initiative.
  • Strong multitasking ability, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Effectively manage several estimates simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting, communicating, and monitoring project timelines while working with field technicians and team members to ensure work is completed on-time in alignment with contract requirements.
  • Provide estimates as required.
  • Preparing documents and reports for review.
  • Assist the project manager with monitoring project deliverables making sure all Foreman, Field Technicians, Team Members and stakeholders are completing work on-budget and to required specifications / schedules.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders and update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress with guidance from the project manager.
  • Assist with site operations are compliant with all safety regulations and project requirements. This may include worksite inspections and working with support staff to ensure all documentation and reporting is taking place.
  • Assist with the development and maintain contract document compliance and schedules.
