Responsibilities

YOUR NEW ROLE:

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-driven Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a key role based in Manchester, responsible for managing costs across multiple civil engineering and surfacing projects. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining financial control, supporting tenders, and ensuring commercial success from inception through to final account.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for tenders and ongoing works
  • Monitoring project budgets and tracking variations
  • Producing timely cost reports and commercial updates for senior management
  • Assisting in procurement and subcontractor negotiation
  • Liaising with operational teams to ensure best value is achieved
  • Supporting the commercial lead in managing contracts and final accounts
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in compliance with client and industry standards
