General Summary:    This position, which has great growth potential after first year of learning business, will initially provide the profile type; cost/sell parameters; and quantities needed to be manufactured for all projects requiring custom cast stone.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  1. Review architectural plans and specifications to determine type of cast stone pieces on project and the feasibility of RockCast producing them. 1. If not feasible, return plans to Account manager as a declined project  2. Do complete take-off from architectural plans determining the following on each cast stone piece to be produced and provide this information on a take-off sheet: a. Type (profile) sketch on sheet b. Quantity needed 3. Size 4. Location (elevation detail) 5. Mold(s) required 3. Evaluate job requirements and identify opportunities for value engineering in relation to division strengths and practical capabilities. 4. When necessary, contact architect for further information or clarification 5. Calculate and quote pricing on all cast stone pieces per submitted project attempting to achieve a minimum margin (pre-determined) 6. Determine cost of bid package (quotes) 1. Develop individual component cost through working with the following departments: mold manufacturing; production; packaging; yard; shipping 7. Log all estimates in data file and maintain weekly Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:    1. Ability to interpret architect plans and perform quantity take-offs 2. Ability to plan and prioritize work to meet deadline requirements. 3. Ability to utilize AutoCAD software is preferred. 4. Excellent communication skills. 4. Sufficient knowledge of masonry products and applications.
