Description

River City Environmental provides demolition and environmental services to residential, businesses, commercial, industrial and institutional properties after they have been damaged by water, mould, or have asbestos containing materials that need to be removed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in demolition estimating
  • Experience in Asbestos/mould estimating
  • Knowledge of the demolition industry
  • Knowledge of the asbestos and mould industry
  • Experience reading blueprints and developing cost estimates
  • Experience with MERX, and other tender posting sites
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Must be able to meet strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures
  • Strong work ethic
  • Must lead by example, be accountable, reliable and organized.
  • Any Certification with the IICRC is an asset
  • Ensure client satisfaction on all projects.
  • Valid Class 5 license
  • Phone with active data plan
  • Able to pass a criminal background check

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Responsible for site visits, estimating, writing bid proposals, and scheduling projects with appropriate staff for projects, as well as providing senior management with project updates and filing paperwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze drawings and specifications
  • Preparing bid submissions/quotes and send to the client in a timely manner
  • Understand the scope of work as well as contract terms and conditions
  • Prepare take offs for projects including labour, material and subcontract items.
  • Prepare detailed work orders
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with clients and subcontractors
  • Meet all deadlines
  • Keep up to date regarding changes in industry guidelines, codes and regulations
  • Work with site supervisor/lead hand on projects
