Are you an Estimator looking to take the next step in your career with a dynamic and progressive engineering company?
Rockwell are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team based in our Cork office, on a permanent & full-time basis.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Experience:

  • Degree Qualification or relevant trade background in the Construction Industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in an estimating role with high value projects.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical projects is advantageous, demonstrating your understanding of industry best practices and technologies.
  • Strong team player with interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in MS Office systems required.
  • Experience using estimating software such as Total Estimating or similar.
  • Demonstrated appetite for continuous learning and personal development
Responsibilities
  • Prepare mechanical cost estimates for projects of all sizes, from small works to large-scale developments.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand project scope.
  • Complete material and labour take-offs using tender drawings.
  • Work with suppliers and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing.
  • Assemble competitive, compliant bid packages.
  • Liaise with Project Managers and Directors throughout the tender and project lifecycle.
  • Attend pre- and post-tender meetings, both internally and with clients.
  • Manage and report on project variations and issue regular updates to the delivery team.
  • Assist in monthly project claims and reporting.
  • Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives where needed.
