COMPANY OVERVIEW

ServiceMaster Restore of Edmonton is looking for an Estimator to join our team.
The Restoration Estimator will provide support to the projects team by estimating the loss and reconstruction of residential and commercial water, fire, wind, mold, asbestos, etc. restoration projects using Xactimate, XactAnalysis and Excel software.

Job Duties

  • Manage a high volume of estimate entries, inclusive of preparing and interpreting scopes, sketches and time and material estimates
  • Manage a high volume of daily email communications, email maintenance and the daily organization of Outlook
  • Work closely with the Projects Director, Project Managers, Coordinators and Compliance Coordinator to ensure scope of work and estimate uploads are completed in a timely manner and within insurer protocol parameters
  • Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures
  • Review all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal client submittal
  • Flexible to work overtime (including evenings and weekends) as required
  • Regular scheduled meetings with Management, Projects Director, Project Managers and Coordinators and Compliance Coordinator (in person &/or calls)
  • Cross train in compliance related duties, inclusive of score card reporting, XactAnalysis control points, etc.
  • Ability to cross train the Compliance Coordinator in estimating duties
  • Participate in position and industry related training as required
  • Attend and participate in company meetings and marketing events as required
  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to multitask and meet stringent deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5-7 years’ experience working as an Estimator and/or Project Manager in the restoration and/or construction industry
  • Knowledge of construction process, terminology, building code, and safety code
  • Knowledge of Xactimate, XactAnalysis, Encircle and Dockusketch
  • A solid understanding and working knowledge of various insurance carrier estimating protocols, including updating protocols in SharePoint
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, presentation and listening
  • Excellent decision making, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines, resources and multiple tasks at once
  • Flexible, adaptable to rapid change and ability to prioritize
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft office programs including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in composing and proofing written materials
  • Must be professional, organized, efficient, diplomatic, establish and maintain collaborative working relationships
  • Effectively work and constructively communicate with all types of clientele, staff, technical, professional, and upper management with a collaborative approach
  • Able to work with limited supervision and confident in the decision-making process
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and work well under pressure with tight timelines
