WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in structured cabling, ICT infrastructure, or ELV projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fiber and copper cabling systems, containment, and related accessories.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Experience in preparing BOQs, tender documentation, and project cost estimates.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of estimating tools/software is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills across teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering (or equivalent).
  • BICSI certification or other structured cabling accreditation.
  • Experience in data center cabling projects is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design tools for cabling layouts is an advantage.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator with a strong background in structured cabling projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting the bidding process, and collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure competitive and successful proposals. The position involves working on ICT Structured Cabling projects, including data centers, enterprise networks, and commercial developments, with a focus on precision, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare structured cabling cost estimates.
  • Perform quantity take-offs for fiber optic and copper cabling, racks, patch panels, cable trays, containment, and related materials.
  • Develop detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost breakdowns, and pricing schedules.
  • Source supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Analyze labor, material, and equipment requirements for complete project costing.
  • Identify cost efficiencies and value engineering opportunities.
  • Support bid submissions, clarifications, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with project management and design teams to align estimates with execution.Stay updated with structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, BICSI) and market pricing trends.
