Reporting to: Parts Finishing Team Leader
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 19:00 – 06:00 with 1 hour unpaid break. (Nights)
Friday: Sunday 06:00 – 18:30 with 30 minute unpaid break. (Weekends)

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work to departmental schedule
  • Check Batch / Job pack components and packaging
  • Obtain data sheets (if required)
  • Locate appropriate tooling
  • Set machine for 1stoff whilst adhering to etching standard and relevant customer care points
  • Check 1stoff
  • Operate machine observing control plan requirements (if applicable)
  • Complete all necessary job cards and documentation, re-pack in appropriate packaging, book off and relocate to next operation
  • Prioritise work in the absence of a Team Leader or Manager and address any manufacturing issues.
  • Store and maintain all tooling linked to the process

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Knowledge, Skills & Experience – facts and information acquired through experience or education and/or the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.

EXPERIENCE

Experience as an Inspector in an Engineering Environment – E
Ability to read engineering drawings in 2D/3D – E
Knowledge of working in Motorsport/Aerospace – D
Knowledge of Gear Manufacturing – D
Machine Programming (e.g. CNC) – D
Defect Reporting experience – E
Intermediate use of computer-based systems – E
Experience of working in an environment of: First Off’s, Batch Inspections and Final Inspections – D

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

To set, program, edit, operate and run various laser etching machines and any other relevant machines to identify transmission parts with part / serial numbers in compliance to company quality standards.
