MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 10 to 15 years of legal experience with background on contracts, labor laws, and/or experience in Investigations management, especially providing prompt, confidential and objective responses to questions, issues, and/or concerns with unquestioned integrity, impartiality, and sensitivity.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of ethics, compliance, governance, and/or risk management program concepts, preferably for operations of a multinational or US based company, emphasizing understanding of the following areas:
  • Knowledge and application of both Philippine and US laws that govern international business;
  • Ethics and compliance program, including policies, controls and processes, and related technologies;
  • One or more of the significant areas of ethics and compliance risk, including anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, antitrust, insider trading, privacy/information protection, conflicts of interest, independence, harassment, discrimination, and whistleblowing;
  • Development, design or re-design of policies and guidance, as needed, through developed subject matter knowledge and/or leveraging knowledge of other subject matter specialists, as needed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience in ethics, compliance, governance, risk management, audit is strongly preferred.
  • Prior international experience is desirable.
  • Philippine Bar Exam Passer preferred

Responsibilities
  • Work with centralized functions in the US and across the AC network and local leadership to lead effective ethics and compliance programs for AC Manila, including programs like anticorruption, privacy/information protection, and investigations.
  • Provide guidance and advice to leaders regarding local and emerging ethical and compliance risks.
  • Develop and continuously enhance the ethics and compliance programs, policies, controls, and processes including implementing enhancements and supporting centralized E&C initiatives and addressing local regulatory requirements.
  • Promote awareness of ethics and compliance by developing and issuing communications and conducting in-person ethics and compliance training (e.g., onboarding training, annual ethics training).
  • Handle ethics and compliance related inquiries and consultations.
  • Receive and act on reported concerns of possible policy violations, including conducting prompt, objective and effective internal investigations.
  • Monitor AC Manila’s ethics and compliance programs by conducting risk assessments, ongoing monitoring, testing and reporting.
  • Manage and coach local ethics and compliance staff and liaisons, including day-to-day management of AC Manila’s ethics and compliance programs, and supporting the US ethics and compliance programs area leads in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to advance AC Manila’s ethics and compliance programs.
  • Monitor and escalate local ethics and compliance regulatory changes and industry-leading practices which may impact AC Manila’s policies, controls, and processes.
  • Model and champion the firm’s values and robust ethical culture through leading by example.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and teams across the PwC network, and actively collaborating to share best practices, lessons learned and subject matter knowledge to increase awareness and understanding.
  • Lead and/or participate in calls with points of contact in different time zones, requiring meetings outside standard business hours
