POSITION SUMMARY

Architect, design, and implement ETL processes to extract data from various source systems and transform the data into a format suitable for analysis and load it into our data warehouse. Work closely with data analysts, database administrators, and other IT staff to ensure data consistency and integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of Cloud environments – Government C1 cloud preferred
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, etc.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments utilizing Jira
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Knowledge or experience in API/Database/SQL and low code application development.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) is plus.
  • Relevant certifications in ETL or data management are a plus.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

5+ years of specific experience related to database management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement ETL solutions, updating the architecture of our databases as necessary
  • Develop and update SQL queries and scripts
  • Work with business stakeholders to assist with data modeling, or outlining the data requirements to support our business processes
  • Develop source-to-target mapping, or data transformation instructions that outline how to convert data in the source system to the target system as well as map the data values
  • Test databases and troubleshoot any issues
  • Maintain data quality, implement data validation checks, handle exceptions, and ensure data consistency and accuracy by applying data cleansing techniques and resolving data integration issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in ETL and data integration.
