Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement ETL solutionsDesign and build DataStage jobs to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target data warehouses or data marts. Data Warehousing and Data IntegrationFocus on data warehousing and data integration projects, ensuring data consistency and availability for business intelligence and analytics. Performance TuningOptimize the performance of ETL processes to meet business requirements and ensure efficient data processing. SDLC and Agile MethodologiesParticipate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and potentially work within agile frameworks. CollaborationWork with business analysts, data architects, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Production SupportMay be involved in providing support for existing DataStage jobs in production, including troubleshooting and resolving issues. Skills and ExperienceIBM InfoSphere DataStage Strong proficiency in using DataStage for ETL development. SQL and Databases Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases like Oracle. ETL Concepts Deep understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and data integration best practices. UnixLinux Experience with UnixLinux operating systems, including scripting (e.g., Unix Shell Scripting). Data Modeling Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques. Agile and DevOps Experience working in agile environments and potentially with DevOps practice
