  • ETL DEVELOPER / INFORMATICA POWERCENTER / ORACLE / LINUX / INVESTMENT MANAGEMENTWe are looking for an experienced ETL Developer to join the Small Change development team within our client, a leading Investment Management business. The teamwork in the IT Engineering department developing, implementing and maintaining solutions across a number of platforms, comprising operational systems and data warehouses. These are based on a diverse range of technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, Informatica, SSIS and Alteryx for ETL and other bespoke tools for data quality / reconciliation). The individual will work as part of a cross-functional agile project team. The initial focus of the workstream will be on remediation of existing processes and data flows.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Planning
  • Estimating of development effort for assigned tasks
  • Work with Business / Data Analysts to clarify requirements when necessary
  • Build
  • Contribute to technical design of platform solution
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes and applications
  • Work with other developers in a collaborative manner both within and across different workstreams, projects and programmes
  • Work with Test Analysts to assist with QA and UAT testing of delivered solutions
  • Create comprehensive automated unit and integration tests for all developed code

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUNDEssential tools:

  • Informatica PowerCenter
  • Oracle DBMS

esign, develop and maintain complex ETL processes and identify areas of optimizations

  • Experienced in testing, debugging and performance tuning of any ETL bottlenecks.
  • Expert SQL, incl stored procedures (ideally PL/SQL and T/SQL) and query tuning
  • Understanding of data modelling and logical / physical database design
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts
  • Track record of creating automated database unit / regression tests
  • Familiarity with database configuration and change management principles and tools: schema version control, automated build, merge and deployment.
