In order to support the Digital Flight Control Systems department, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

EUROFIGHTER SYSTEM DESIGN ENGINEER FOR FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM (M/F/D)

The Digital Flight Control Systems department at Airbus Defence & Space is responsible for the system design and development of safety-critical software for fighter aircraft flight control systems. This includes the implementation of software on a Flight Control Computer and the long-term evolution (LTE) of the Eurofighter .
To support our international team , we are looking for a System Designer to adapt and modify the design and software requirements of the Flight Control System to fulfill new customer requirements and enhance aircraft capabilities.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Aerospace-/ Software Engineering or comparable studies
  • Working experience in a comparable role
  • Knowledge within ARP4754/61, MBSE, DO-178C, IMA is an advantage
  • Experience in Flight Control System, Fortran, Requirements Engineering, DOORS, System Design and Development, System Equipment
  • Team spirit & teamwork
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in German is an advantage

  • For LTE, a new fibre optic High-Speed Data Network interface to an all-new Avionics Mission Computer

The System Design responsibilities cover major parts of the classical design model (V-model), including:

  • Support to high-level requirements definition
  • Derivation and aggregation of lower-level system requirements
  • Formulation of software requirements
  • Verification and validation of the design via test objective definition
  • Support to SAT and System Testing
