To support this mission, Syngenta’s Hiring Team is seeking a Hybrid Europe Seeds Logistics Operations Lead in Budapest. The Regional Logistics Operations Lead is responsible for managing daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient execution of transport and warehouse activities, and leading a team to deliver excellent service levels to our customers. This role focuses on day-to-day operational excellence, process improvement, and effective coordination with 4PL partners and other internal stakeholders (Finance, Quality, Customer Service, Regional Planning, Order Management & Regional Transport and Warehousing Manager). Accountabilities: Team Leadership Lead and mentor the logistics coordinators team Assign daily tasks and responsibilities Monitor team performance and productivity Ensure proper shift coverage and workload distribution • Promote safety and quality standards Address team concerns and issues Set clear objectives and KPIs for team members Operational Oversight Monitor daily logistics activities Track operational KPIs Ensure timely resolution of issues Coordinate with internal stakeholders Identify operational risks and mitigation actions Close follow-up on customs Coordinate with 4PL, carriers and warehouses Process Ownership and Continuous Improvement: Maintain and update operational procedures including best practices sharing Identify efficiency improvement opportunities Implement process enhancements Monitor compliance with SOPs Lead operational excellence initiatives Support system improvements Exception Management Prioritize and manage rush orders Monitor and address demurrage situations Handle Non-conformities Implement corrective actions Track and report exceptions Minimize operational disruptions 4PL Operational Management Conduct weekly operational reviews Monitor daily 4PL performance Address operational issues Ensure effective communication Track service level compliance Validate operational charges Maintain operational records Qualifications Required: Technical & Functional Skills Strong knowledge of transportation and warehousing operations (road, sea, air) Experience with 3PL / 4PL operating models SAP or similar ERP systems knowledge Bachelor’s degree Fluent English language knowledge Desired: Strong leadership Stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to work cross-functionally and in an international environment Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced operational context Change management mindset Decision-making and crisis management capabilities Proactive, hands-on, high-level of ownership and accountability French language knowledge nice to have Additional Information What We Offer An environment where every voice matters, professional growth is encouraged, and work-life balance is prioritized.
