BYD Mascot Service is seeking a skilled and motivated Light Vehicle Automotive Technician to join our growing service team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a globally recognised automotive brand in a modern, well equipped service department.   This role involves servicing and repairing BYD vehicles including hybrid and full electric models, providing exposure to a broad range of modern vehicle technologies while working to manufacturer standards.   About the role   You will be responsible for carrying out scheduled servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and inspections on BYD vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidelines. This includes work on hybrid systems as well as full electric vehicles, supported by ongoing manufacturer training.   Your day to day duties will include fault diagnosis, mechanical and electrical repairs, road testing, and accurately completing repair orders. You will work closely with Service Advisors and other technicians to ensure customer concerns are clearly understood and resolved.   Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment will be a key part of the role.   What we are looking for   Applicants must hold AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent recognised qualification.   You will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a professional approach to your work. Dealership experience is preferred but not essential.
