This role can be based in our office in Manly or you can work from home anywhere within the Australia Eastern Standard Time zone.
The purpose of this role is to manage, analyse and report on our research data with a strong emphasis of bringing continuous improvement to our service.
Job Description
The Evaluation Officer plays a pivotal role in assessing the impact and effectiveness of Royal Far West’s Schools and Early Years Service through the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data. This position is responsible for managing, analysing and reporting on the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of service outcomes.
With a strong commitment to continuous improvement, the Evaluation Officer fosters a data-informed culture within the organisation, working collaboratively with Heads of Service and their teams to identify their needs and provide expert guidance on evaluation methodologies.
This role is integral to maintaining the quality, safety, and effectiveness of the Schools and Early Years Service, translating evaluation findings into actionable strategies that strengthen service delivery and inform best practices. By applying data-driven insights to practice, the Evaluation Officer ensures that insights lead to quality improvements, directly benefiting children, families, and communities.
Desired Skills and Experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE:

  • Relevant Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in allied health, research and evaluation, public health, or a related field.
  • Evaluation Expertise: Demonstrated experience in conducting research and/or evaluation projects, preferably within the healthcare sector, with a strong understanding of evaluation principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Data Analysis & Application: Advanced data analysis skills, proficiency in data analysis software, and the ability to translate findings into actionable strategies that enhance service delivery and inform best practices.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting complex data and driving insights that contribute to quality improvement and strategic decision-making.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings, engage with diverse stakeholders, and support teams in applying evaluation results effectively.
  • Independent Work & Collaboration: Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with Heads of Service and service delivery teams to align evaluation activities with organisational objectives.
  • Commitment to Quality & Continuous Improvement: Dedication to ethical research practices, responsible conduct, and fostering a data-informed culture that strengthens clinical services and supports improved outcomes for children, families, and communities.

IT WOULD BE DESIRABLE IF YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDED:

  • Project management experience
  • Experience with Qualtrics
  • Experience in evaluation of or delivery of healthcare programs
