Applications are invited for the post of Evaluation Programme Manager for the new Centre for Teaching Excellence which will be hosted by the School of Education, University of Glasgow. Further information about the Centre for Teaching Excellence can be found here.The post holder will collaborate with the Centre’s leadership team to set up processes for evaluation, monitoring and reporting in the Centre’s initial phase and project manage these as the Centre becomes fully operational. It will also involve contributing to an innovative programme of research, evaluation and knowledge exchange across Scotland in the delivery of the Centre’s objectives. This will involve delivering knowledge exchange, evaluation, research and impact generation and demonstration activities for the Centre by:

  • Measuring the impact of the Centre’s activities for stakeholders and users, enabling independent evaluation and reporting.
  • Working to support process and impact evaluative activity and build sustainable relationships to support the movement of knowledge across the partnership

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Working with appropriate staff to co-ordinate and support the delivery of research, evaluation and impactful activity across a number of workstreams.
  2. Initiate and manage a range of networking and capacity-building activities that draw on research expertise (collaborative action research and participatory and enquiry-based methods) to support knowledge exchange and develop and implement an evaluative impact plan for the Centre.
  3. Build and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders including: teachers and other education professionals working in and with schools, Local Authority officers and other stakeholders to develop and implement an evaluative process and impact plan for the Centre.
  4. Promote relationships between potential users of research to maximise the benefits of collaboration.
  5. Liaise with key partners to ensure the smooth management and administration across workstreams.
  6. Liaise between existing communication channels and researchers to communicate information and research findings clearly to a variety of audiences and help develop the skills of others in doing so, using written and other media. Knowledge,
