JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a FEMALE support worker to work evenings and weekends. You must have a FULL UK DRIVERS LICENSE, ENHANCED DBS ON THE UPDATE SERVICE and THE FULL RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care to individuals in need, including those in assisted living, nursing homes, and home care settings. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice care, and senior care practices is beneficial.
• Certification in first aid is preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting as required when assisting clients with mobility needs.
• A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients as needed.
• Experience in childcare may be considered an asset for those working with families or young individuals requiring support.

  Pay Rate: £12.50 pert hour + 21p for every mile driven

• Provide personal care and assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safe practices are followed.
• Assist with meal preparation and dietary needs, catering to individual preferences and restrictions.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
• Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to support clients with specific challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of client care and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties as required to maintain a clean and safe environment.
