Rose Senior Living Farmington Hills is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Part-Time Host/Hostess to join our Culinary team. This role is responsible for supporting the overall operation, coordination, appearance, and service experience of the dining room while ensuring residents and guests receive warm, courteous, and efficient service. Part-Time Schedule: Monday – Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday – Saturday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Here are a few daily responsibilities of a Host/Hostess: Greet residents, guests, and staff warmly and assist with seating arrangements while creating a welcoming dining environment Maintain the overall appearance and readiness of the dining room and service stations, including tables, linens, place settings, chairs, flooring, and décor Ensure dining room tables are properly set and meet presentation standards at all times Support the coordination of dining room service and assist with assigning and monitoring team responsibilities as directed by the Dining Room Manager Maintain reservation lists, attendance records, special event documentation, and assist with resident billing transactions as needed Communicate dining room status and service needs to the Dining Room Manager Assist with onboarding and on-the-job support for dining room team members Step in to assist servers and bus staff during peak service times to ensure smooth operations and resident satisfaction Monitor resident feedback and help promote an exceptional dining experience Ensure compliance with all sanitation, safety, and regulatory requirements Inspect dining room equipment for cleanliness and maintenance needs and report concerns appropriately Participate in cost control and efficiency practices Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned Perform other duties as assigned Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: High school diploma or equivalent required Coursework in hospitality or dining operations preferred Minimum of one year front-of-the-house experience in a restaurant, hotel, club, or similar setting preferred Ability to communicate effectively and work compassionately with residents, families, team members, and guests At Rose Senior Living, we understand that our employees work best when they are healthy, happy, and excited about the here and now, as well as the future.
