Interested candidates must provide both a current resume and a cover letter addressing the Requirements of the Position.
Classes are Mon-Thurs, 4pm - 9:30pm

The skills and qualifications noted as essential should be prominently and initially presented for the application to be considered.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 1 year (840 hours) teaching IELTS preparation in a classroom setting in the past four years is essential.
  • Demonstrated success with students having achieved their objectives in a formal mock-test simulation is essential.
  • A completed bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary education is essential.
  • A recognised TESOL qualification, like CELTA, Cert IV TESOL, or Post Grad in TESOL is essential.
  • Competency in the use of MS Office suite of applications including Excel and Teams is required to perform the role.
  • Experience using database style systems to record student outcomes is desirable.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

  • Develop and deliver English language lessons up to 20 hours per week face to face using flexible methodologies catering to the proficiency levels and individual learning needs of international students.
  • Proactively reflect on delivery and outcomes of teaching, engage in professional development programs and maintain a professional portfolio.
  • Understand, take responsibility for and adhere to the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active language acquisition.
  • Develop and deliver weekly formative assessment tasks and record results of student academic outcomes, participation and engagement and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Demonstrate an attitude of collaboration.
