QUALIFICATIONS FOR PARKING GUARD

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • First Aid Certification (required / considered an asset if not yet obtained).
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Good vision and excellent focus/concentration abilities.
  • Solid technical skills and comfort using mobile devices and reporting tools.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor designated areas to detect parking violations and suspicious activity.
  • Issue tickets in accordance with municipal by-law traffic regulations.
  • Document events and incidents by completing detailed reports and daily logs.
  • Respond quickly to potential incidents or safety concerns.
  • Conduct regular mobile and foot patrols to ensure public safety and by-law compliance.
  • Enforce parking regulations in areas such as handicap zones, no parking zones, loading zones, fire lanes, and more.
  • Use city-issued devices to scan PODs, take photos, and enter accurate data.
  • Collaborate with municipal enforcement or emergency services in serious or urgent situations.
