Position summary
As the Evening Houseman, you are a vital member of our housekeeping and operations teams, ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are clean, safe, and well-stocked during the evening shift. You will support the evening front desk team, assist with linen and laundry handling, respond promptly to guest requests, and help maintain an efficient, welcoming hotel environment at the Staybridge Suites Omaha — 80th & Dodge.

Primary duties and responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas (lobby, corridors, elevators, public restrooms, and stairwells) during the evening shift.
• Collect and transport soiled linens and towels to the laundry; restock clean linens and supplies.
• Respond to guest requests, deliver amenities, assist with luggage or other guest needs, and escalate issues to the front desk or management as appropriate.
• Set up, break down, and clean meeting rooms and banquet spaces; assist with occasional event support.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to maintenance or management immediately.
• Follow property safety, security, and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Assist with inventory counts and communicate supply needs to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth nightly operations.

Qualifications and skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel experience a plus; training provided for the right candidate.
• Strong customer service orientation and a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical requirements and working conditions

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb stairs frequently during shift.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Work involves exposure to cleaning chemicals and moderate noise levels.
• Evening and weekend availability required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
