We are looking for an experienced, hard working and reliable Cleaning Supervisor to come and join our friendly team at a school in Chelmsford, Essex CM1.
To be considered for this position you must have a current DBS check for working with children, without this we are unable to offer you the position so please only apply of you have this
Candidates must also be able to start immediately and have supervisory experience in any role. This position is a key holder position and will include locking up the school at the end of each shift
Monday to Friday (term time only)
18:00-20:00
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms and communal areas to a very high standard.
- Supervise and oversee a team of 3 cleaning operatives ensuring they are cleaning their allocated areas to the expected standard. ensuring checks are completed at the end of each shift. Candidate must feel confident to communicate with their team if they have missed something or if something needs to be redone to meet the expected cleanliness standard.
- Lock up the building at the end of each shift ensuring all safety measures are being adhered to (you will be shown how to do this when you start)
- Report any issues to management immediately
- Being responsible for washing all cloths on site during your shift, ensuring there are clean ones ready for the next shift
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in cleaning or housekeeping, as well as supervisory experience in any role
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a friendly team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensure the standard is maintained at all times
- Good time management skills to efficiently fulfil assigned duties within designated timeframes, as well as being able to complete all allocated tasks in a fast paced environment
