We are looking for a passionate and guest focused Waiter to join our incredible Straits Kitchen & Bar team at Pan Pacific London. JOB SUMMARY

As a Waiter in Straits Kitchen & Bar, you will be responsible for creating exceptional experiences for our guests. Your tasks as a Waiter will include but not be limited to:

  • Follow restaurants’ standards, policies and procedures with other team members.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of:

    a) All food items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant.
    b) Every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
    c) Designated glassware and garnishes for drinks.
    d) All menu items, preparation method/time, ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation and prices.
    e) Daily menu specials and out-of-stock items.
    f) Dining room layout, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set-ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code.

    g) Daily house count, arrivals/departures, and V.I.P.s reservations

  • Be aware of in-house group activities, locations and times.

  • Correct maintenance and use of equipment.
  • All department policies/service procedures.
  • Assist in greeting and escorting guests to their tables according to departmental procedures, when needed. Ensure that tables are set to best service the guests.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day. Promote positive guest relations at all times.
  • Take and record restaurant reservations/cancellations by departmental standards, when no Host/ess or superior is available to do it.
