JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial cleaning and janitorial experience, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This role is essential in providing a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is advantageous.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Empty and clean rubbish bins and into the appropriate waste bins
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas and spot clean when necessary
  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors using the appropriate cleaning supplies
  • Clean and dust furniture, ledges, light fixtures, and other hard to reach places
  • Wash windows, mirrors and glass surfaces and ensure they are free of streaks
  • Clean and disinfect toilets and ensure that soap and paper dispensers are well-stocked
  • Help with setting up and clearing away function room furniture
  • Inform the Supervisor of anything that is broken or not functioning correctly so that the issue is resolved promptly
  • Meet standards and frequency levels detailed in cleaning rotas for all areas of the Club
  • Use cleaning materials appropriately, as instructed and economically
  • Inform Supervisor when stocks are low
  • Where practicable ensure windows and doors are closed and lights switched off
  • Ensure you are aware of responsibilities for the health safety of self and others
