QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 2-3 years of experience in event planning, marketing coordination, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail, especially in marketing materials and event design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) and social media marketing techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
  • Be fluent in English and a second language is an asset
  • Flexible schedule, be able to work early morning and evenings as required
  • Attention to detail to ensure high standards of customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Dependable and punctual, ensuring consistency in housekeeping operations.
  • Honest and trustworthy, especially when dealing with guest property and hotel assets.
Responsibilities

Event and Marketing is an integral part of Rosemead House opening overseeing all aspects of Sales and Marketing for our grand opening. This position will oversee all aspects of Sales and Marketing and this position directly reports to General Manager.

  • Assisting Sales and Marketing Manager with organizing, coordinating, and advertising all event including Weddings.
  • Maintain, measure and drive brand awareness including online advertising, signage, social media and digital.
  • Responsible for maintaining company and brand standards for templates, letters, etc.
  • Works closely with Janevca, front office and housekeeping team coordinating all group room
  • Compile and distribute relevant reports to appropriate departments as required, ensuring timely follow-through with all revisions, cancellations and special requests for room and event bookings.
  • Ensures efficient and effective loading of group, negotiated and promotional rates in coordination with reservations and the distribution team.
  • Maintaining and updating guest profiles, ensuring that all guest information is up-to-date and correct, under the guidance and supervision of the General Manager and Sales and Marketing Manager
  • Manage banquet event orders for all hotel, and internal events and prepare and communicate and group resumes and BEO.
  • Generate and update key sales and event reports, that are required for timely internal and external meetings.
  • Assist General Managers travelling on company business by assisting with itineraries, flights, bookings and other travel needs.
  • Respond to general telephone inquiries on behalf of Janevca and events&marketing team.
  • Ensures all calls, emails and any other duties related to inquiries, reservations and distribution are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Maintain positive communication with all departments in the hotel and stay well informed of hotel VIPs, activities, promotions and events.
  • Attend sales and event team meetings by participating, preparing, recording and distributing meeting minutes.
