We are an Events Decor Rental company in Vancouver, BC teamed up with our sister floral company, Pretty Things Florist. We specialize in decor rentals for weddings, special events, corporate galas and in the film industry.

Job Overview
We are looking to hire a Event and Warehouse Assistant to join our growing team. If you’re hard-working and dedicated, this is a great place to grow your career.
Responsibilities for Event Assistant:
- Valid BC Drivers License and access to a vehicle is required
- Assist in managing all aspects of an event from pre-planning, determining resource needs, pre-event marketing, and on-site coordination, to post take down and event follow up
- Driving to pick up/purchase/ assist in site visits as needed/going to set up and take downs within the city.
- Consultations with clients (as a back-up)
- Assisting and reporting to the owner and managers as needed.
- Working with a team at on-site events set ups and take downs
- Warehouse work such as cleaning, organizing, packing the warehouse and showroom.
- Plan and execute pre-event marketing
- Has a creative eye to come up with basic designs for events
- Basic marketing such as taking pictures and posting on social media.
- Floral duties such as basic floral prepping work.
- 1-2 years of experience in assisting in planning and executing events of varying sizes
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- Creative and effective problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiar with HoneyBooks Client Management Software
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and duties
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Minor floral skills will be an asset
- Other Requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
This is a part-time or full-time position. Please note, some evening, weekend work and flexibility will be required for this position.
STARTING PAY: Competitive pay based on qualifications and experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
