We’re looking for an outgoing, people-friendly Event Assistant to join us at the Ochapowace Pow Wow (Aug 22–24). This is a casual, short-term position that includes flat pay, travel, hotel, and meals covered. If this goes well, there will be opportunities for more events (1 to 2 events per month)

You’ll travel with our team (transportation provided) — no need to drive
Fun, positive atmosphere — great for someone who enjoys meeting new people!
Schedule (approx.):
Friday, Aug 22: Leave Winnipeg mid-day, check in to hotel, set up, work event 7 PM–late
Saturday, Aug 23: Booth open ~11 AM to evening
Sunday, Aug 24: Booth open ~11 AM, finish earlier evening, travel back to Winnipeg
What you’ll do:
Welcome people to our booth and hand out giveaways/contest entries
Chat with visitors and encourage them to stop by
Help keep the booth organized and engaging
What we’re looking for:
Friendly, outgoing personality
Comfortable starting conversations and engaging with lots of people
Reliable and punctual
Previous sales, events, or community experience is a bonus, but not required

Pay: $16.58-$20.24 per hour
