Description
The Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department is seeking responsible, energetic and motivated individuals with sports activities experience to support the athletics staff. The selected candidates will provide assistance with programs at the Avery Street Recreation Center and the Garner Recreation Center. This position involves general supervision of programs and facilities, field supervision, including game preparation, participant registration, and some office administration. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: * Prepare the building/fields for use * Ensure services, supplies and equipment are available for the comfort and safety of participants * Monitor compliance with Town policies, and follow established procedures at the conclusion of any event * Must be able to effectively interact with scorekeepers, spectators, participants, coaches and referees MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: *  A high school diploma or equivalent is required *  Previous experience and efficiency using a computer is required * Must have CPR and First Aid certification or be able to obtain within 6 months ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Activities are scheduled during the daytime, evenings, and on weekends, between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
